One of the most impactful sights I witnessed in Bangladesh during the monsoon season was the flooded streets of Old Dhaka. Unbelievable for me, yet this is the daily reality for the people living there. This painting depicts the memory of a little girl in a beautiful red dress walking along the street with water up to her knees. In the foreground, a young woman carrying her child in her arms struggles to cross the road.
